History

An excerpt from the old LHM site:

How did the Little Hooded Men came to be? Well, it's a rather funny story, actually. I was sitting one day in Spanish, bored (actually, I was more...detached than bored. No coffee that morning.) and I my attention was shifting constantly. Then, suddenly these carved hooded monk/praying/things was in my focus, and I started to doodle them because the design was simple, and nifty. (I'll take a picture of them when I get the chance) I then added little touches of my own...the creeping hem and the little curl with a bell on the back of the hood. It was cute. Then I drew a second one, raising his arms to the sky. My friend (which I basically owe the birth of my hooded children to) said they were cute, and told me to draw one dancing. (wiggle wiggle!)

Yes, It was she who encouraged me to make a comic out of them.
